Master Home Inspector Qualifications
West Georgia Home Inspection & Renovation, LLC is the only Certified Master Home Inspector in the Atlanta, West Georgia area. Georgia law does not require Home Inspectors to have any kind of training or certification what so ever. Most people assume Home Inspectors are licensed by the state, the same as Real Estate Agents. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Most of my competitors have no training or certification at all. Some charge less than I do because most people shop for a Home Inspector based on price, not certifications or experience. A home purchase is the largest investment you will ever make in your life. Why would you want to risk the most critical portion of the home buying process, the inspection, on the cheapest, yet least qualified inspector you can find? I place a copy of my certifications right on this web site for all to see. I am also certified as an Air Conditioning technician. See if any other inspectors do that. I am certified as a Master Home Inspector and an Air Conditioning technician, and we are a State registered LLC. Our control number is 08034226. You can visit the Georgia Secretary of State web site to see our rating.
I am also the only Home Inspector in the Atlanta area the is certified by the Georgia Association of Realtors (GAR) to teach a 3 credit hour class for Real Estate agents. Agents are required to be re certified every 3 years to maintain their licenses. I have run this class many times and many of my students have referred me to their buyers for a home inspection.
My Master Home Inspector certification is recognized by both ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) and NAHI (National Association of Home Inspectors). Please see my certification under the documentation tab.
I have been hired by various attorneys in the past to provide expert witness testimony in divorce cases where the condition of the home was at issue. My credentials as a Master Home Inspector make me uniquely qualified to do this.
I also have an agent level SUPRA key to open SUPRA locks on homes. This makes it not necessary for the agent to take time out to come and open the door for the inspection. I do not need the CBS code for my key. Agents are always welcome to attend of course.
